This article will tell you 5 reasons why signing De Rossi will be a good thing. 1. He could serve as a mentor to youth players. This is very important, because De Rossi in my opinion is definitely one of best midfielders in the world, and hopefully he would be able to show the youth players how to play like him and sharpen their knowledge of the game. 2. Perhaps he himself could improve. Italian players are well known to get better as they grow older, e.g. Francesco Totti, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Diamanti, and Alessandro Del Piero. There is a very good chance this could happen to De Rossi as well. 3. He could bring more Italians into Chelsea. In Italy De Rossi is one of the most respected players in the country, mainly because of how he’s been loyal to AS Roma since joining the youth team in 2000. He is a figure that a lot of young aspiring Italian footballers and Italian citizens in general respect and idolize. By the way, this could actually help grow our fan-base in Italy. 4. Squad depth. He could add to our squad depth which will be very important if we want to do well in Champions League and Domestic Cups. 5. He could play almost everywhere defensively. Daniele could play as his preferred CDM, CM, CB, and although he normally never plays as a RB, he can.
