Marriner Attendance: 41614 Preview Team News Play by Play Lineups & Stats Chelsea FC Arsenal FC CHELSEA FC 0 0 Petr Cech Sharp save to deny Giroud early on and had little else to do thereafter as Chelsea dominated the game. 0 0 Branislav Ivanovic Strong defensively and always offered an option out the right touchline. 0 0 David Luiz Good positioning , strong tackling and tidy use of the ball. Could have scored but twice denied by good Szczesny saves. 0 0 Gary Cahill Composed at the back and only really had to worry about Giroud on one occasion when the Arsenal striker got in behind. 0 0 John Terry Excellent reading of the game and commanding in the air throughout. A dominant display. 0 0 César Azpilicueta Never troubled defensively and always looked to receive the ball out wide. Stretched the pitch, especially in the second-half. 0 0 Oscar Scored Chelseas fourth goal from close range at the end of the first-half before placing in his second from 20 yards midway through the second period. Bright display from the Brazilian as he put Arsenal under pressure between the lines and looked to add zip to the hosts play. 0 0 Eden Hazard The Belgian was classy and skillful on the ball, as usual. Forced the penalty with a goalbound shot before converting the spot-kick himself. 0 0 Nemanja Matić Hardly allowed Arsenal any space in attacking areas. Excellent positional awareness, powerful physicality and good use of the ball. Set up the sixth goal for Salah was a fine pass. 0 0 Andre Schürrle The German was a constant threat as he looked to get past Arsenals high line. Created Etoos opener before scoring the second himself with a fine low finish. 0 0 Samuel Etoo Lovely goal to put Chelsea ahead in just the fifth minute as he cut inside on to his left foot and curled inside the far corner. Forced off five minutes later through injury. 0 0 John Obi Mikel Solid presence in midfield after coming on for Luiz in the 72nd minute. 0 0 Mohamed Salah Replaced Oscar in the 67th minute and scored his first goal four Chelsea four minutes later after breaking the Arsenal offside trap and sliding low past Szczesny. 0 0 Fernando Torres His speed and skill were a constant worry for Arsenal. Set up the fourth goal for Oscar with a low ball across goal and almost scored himself shortly after the restart following an excellent run. ARSENAL FC 0 0 Wojciech Szczesny Might have done better with Etoos opener and made a definite error as Oscars shot went through his hands for Chelseas fifth goal. 0 0 Bacary Sagna The Frenchman was Arsenals least bad defender at right-back in the first-half but struggled after the break at left-back. 0 0 Per Mertesacker Heroic in the north London derby last week but caught out too often here as Chelsea constantly beat Arsenals offside trap. 0 0 Laurent Koscielny All over the place in the first-half as he struggled to cope with Chelseas attacking moverment on the counter- attack. Perhaps injured, which would explain his withdrawal at half-time. 0 0 Kieran Gibbs Poor positioning and failed to follow runners before being sent-off in the most bizarre circumstances in the 15th minute when referee Andre Marriner sent him off for handball when Oxlade-Chamberlain committed the offence. 0 0 Tomas Rosicky Lovely through ball to Giroud early on but after that had no impact as Chelsea took control. 0 0 Mikel Arteta Robbed in possession for the second goal, offered no protection for the defence and poor on the ball under pressure. 0 0 Santi Cazorla Hardly involved at all in the game but a couple of decent touches. 0 0 Lukas Podolski A total passenger before being replaced by Vermaelen in the 24th minute. 0 0 Olivier Giroud Missed a great chance to open the scoring early, scuffing for Cech to save, and then went missing. Slightly better in the second-half with some decent touches with his back to goal. 0 0 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Allowed Etoo to cut inside too easily for the first goal and conceded the penalty with a blatant diving save - even though Gibbs was punished for the offence. Replaced at half-time. 0 0 Thomas Vermaelen Came on in the 24th minute but never looked comfortable with Chelseas movement. 0 0 Carl Jenkinson Decent enough display after coming on for Koscielny at half-time to play at right-back. 0 0 Mathieu Flamini Provided slightly more protection for the back four after replacing Oxlade- Chamberlain at half-time.
