5 Star: Steph S. This place is the perfect neighborhood bar. The location is ideal; for those of us who live in South Pas, its right in the heart of our little downtown, and for those hopping off the train, the distance couldnt be much shorter! It has become a ritual for us to stop in here during the farmers market on Thursdays, and we meet friends here for happy hour quite often. The service is perfect - not too overbearing, not at all pretentious, but people around when you need them. The food is basic but delicious. And of course, we love the cold Irish brews! Perhaps what I love most about Griffins is the fact that it is family friendly (like the actual pubs in Ireland on which it is modeled). For the few Yelpers who found this disconcerting, I say...well see you in about eight years when you have a little one or two and youve thought to yourself, Now where was that cool Irish pub where I could go have a pint, meet up with friends AND bring my kids? Youll see:)
