5-day Discover North East India extravaganza begins | The Assam Tribune - goo.gl/tdiHfa The colourful five-day cultural extravaganza – Discover Northeast – was inaugurated by the director of North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, Lipokmar Tzudir and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) director Shankar Prasad Kakoti Bora at Shilpgram on Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Discover North East has been conceptualized keeping in view the enchanting and colourful culture of the North East Region that deserves higher appreciation and respect. NEZCC is of the opinion that the atrocities faced by North East communities in other parts of the country is primarily out of ignorance about the region; and therefore the need of the hour is to showcase the best of the North East way of life with a concerted effort.
