5 fishermen from TN were rotting in jail in SL from 2011. They were sentenced to death in SL. Due to the diplomatic efforts of Subramaniam Swamy under the guidance of the PM N Modi and a direct communication from the PM to the SL president they get a presidential pardon from the S lankan president. Now the foolish politicians say that Modi is taking credit for the release of the fishermen. WHY NOT? Getting back our people out of a foreign country that too on the death row is unprecedented. Its a historic achievement that no other political party could ever dream of achieving. And if these fishermen are flown to delhi to meet the PM then whats wrong about that? These tamil fishermen should do SASHTANG PRANAAMs to the PM for saving their lives and talk to the world about it. Will the Goswamis and sardesais of the world ever care to talk about this. No becasue the ruling party does not grease their palms?
