5 hours to go until history is made for Hinduism in the City of London. The completion of the Gita Gnyan Yagna of 140 talks on the Bhagavad Gita in the City of London after 154 weeks, three years and 225 hours talks. The event has been described by Rt Hon. Seema Malhotra MP as a triumphant moment in the history of Hinduism and by Deputy Prime Minister Rt Hon. Nick Clegg as a historic completion. The celebrations will be held on from 7pm at the following address: CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, Mitre House, 160 Aldersgate Street, London, EC1A 4DD (nearest station: Barbican or St Pauls). To register please RSVP at the following webpage: gitagnyanyagna.eventbrite.co.uk/ Since we launched the Gita Gnyan Yagna at law firm CMS Cameron McKenna on 8 November 2011, 140 weekly talks on the Bhagavad Gita have taken place every Tuesday (the auspicious day of Shree Hanuman, who has been present with us throughout), taking us on a journey through the commentary of all 18 chapters of the Gita with scientific, practical and logical examples to make this holy scripture accessible to young professionals. This conversation between ShreeKrushna and the warrior Arjuna on the battlefield represents the journey of the individual soul from vishaad (despondency) in chapter 1 to moksha (liberation) in chapter 18. We invite you to our celebrations to mark the successful completion of this divine journey. It will be a truly emotional moment for all our speakers and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make this journey possible. The programme for the event is as follows: 6.30pm to 7pm - registration and refreshments 7pm to 8.15pm - talk on the Bhagavad Gita by Dhruv Chhatralia entitled Wherever there is Krushna, the Lord of yoga, and Partha (Arjuna), the archer, there will surely be fortune, victory, welfare and morality 8.15pm to 8.30pm – ceremony to mark the successful completion of the Gita Gnyan Yagna after 154 weeks, three years and 225 hours of 140 Bhagavad Gita talks 8.30pm to 10.30pm - vegetarian Indian cuisine and Indian soft drinks, celebrations and networking with professionals from all over the City, media personalities, politicians and leaders of the community. This event will mark the momentous and historical occasion of the completion of the Bhagavad Gita talks since we launched the Gita Gnyan Yagna based on the teachings of His Holiness Pujyashree Bhupendrabhai Pandya at law firm CMS Cameron McKenna LLP. The first ever Bhagavad Gita talk was given with Pujyashree Gurujis blessings by Dhruv Chhatralia on 8th November 2011. In the last three years, we have successfully continued this holy MahaYagna for 154 weeks right at the heart of the City of London. We are all the more happy that ten people have given the Bhagavad Gita talks in this journey of three years: Pujyashree Bhupendrabhai Pandya, Dhruv Chhatralia, Sonal Seta, Meera Doshi, Mayank Gupta, Chandni Joshi, Hasu Bakrania, Avnita Vekaria, Veena Uttam and Roshni Thakrar. The event will celebrate the immense hard work that has been put in to organise all 140 Bhagavad Gita talks (over 225 hours of talks). We have created something really special at CMS, which has become a unique achievement for Hinduism in the UK, and would really like you to be an integral part of our celebrations. This event will be co-hosted by the CMS Hindu Network, the BT Ethnic Minority Network, the PricewaterhouseCoopers Hindu Network and SHYAM. Thank you all for being an integral part of our success and we look forward to celebrating with you at the event.
