5 roads in Shangus Constituency to be upgraded in Core Network : SRINAGAR, AUGUST 29: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah has said that five road projects including Kanganhal-Tailwani-Ronipora Chittergul, Achaba- Brenty, Dethu-Cheerpora, Kharpora-Brimar Narsar and Bontooru- Chattishinghpora of Shangus Constituency are part of Comprehensive Upgradation Priority List of PMGSY, adding that these shall be taken up for upgradation in order of priority in the Core Network. The Minister was replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Peerzada Mansoor Hussain in the Legislative Assembly today. The Minister informed that the DPR for upgradation of Kanganhall-Tailwaaani-Rainipora-Chittergul road and Achabal-Brenty road have been prepared under PMGSY with nomenclature as road from Checki Brinty to Kwarigam up to Ranipora for a length of 13.50 kms and the same stands submitted to State Technical Agency for technical scrutiny. Mir Saifullah informed that Kanganhal-Tailwani-Ronipora Chittergul having a length of 13.50 kms was taken off from Km 3rd of Matta Achabal road and is of BT status. He said the potholes have developed in km Ist to km 8thwhich have been restored by way of providing and laying of WBM G-3rd. During the current financial year, a road length of 0.50 km is targeted for 25 mm thick semi dense in patches/stretches under projectization programme. He informed that Achaba- Brenty road having a length of 5.50 km is of BT status. He informed that 3 kms of length of road was black topped during the previous financial year. Similarly, during the current financial year, laying of G-3rd in patches/stretches of remaining 2.50 kms have been provided/laid under normal maintenance programme. Mir Saifullah said that Dethu-Cheerpora road having a length of 2.75 kms has been upgraded to BT status in the year 2011. The road surface got damaged due to normal wear and tear and of severe winter and is proposed to be restored under normal maintenance programme. Referring to status of Kharpora-Brimar Narsar road, the Minister informed that the project having a length of 2.50 kms has been upgraded up to G-3rd level under NABARD RIDF-XIII during the year 2010-11. He said the surface of the road has got damaged and tenders have been invited for restoration of road surface by way of G-3rd in patches/stretches under maintenance programme. The Minister further informed that the road from Bontooru to Chattishinghpora having a length of 3 kms stands up-graded under NABARD RIDF XI. The riding surface has been improved by way of repairs. The road from Chattisingpora to Checki Isherdas is of BT status. The minor patches developed on the road have been restored by way of providing and laying of WBM G-3rd in patches/stretches during the current financial year.
