5 tips to prepare for CTET in 30 days CTET, the dreadful monster is only a month away, and still many of us are not confident if we are ready for it. So here are the 5 things that we suggest you in order to increase your chances of success. Plan your test taking strategy You should have your test taking strategy ready before the exam. It will help you in two ways. First, it will help you in answering those questions first, in which you are confident. And second, you will be able to save you time by not attempting the questions, you are not sure of. In a nutshell, you should know your strengths and weaknesses. Hence, focus more on the strengths, and avoid weaknesses Give more mock test And how to know your strengths and weaknesses? It’s very easy. Give more of mock tests. Find out the sections, types of questions, that you are more comfortable with, and then try solving them in mock tests. It will help you to estimate the time and effort that you have to put in each subject. Do not try to learn everything now Well if you haven’t touched on the Mathematics / Science / Social Science / Environmental Studies content, we suggest you not to learn everything from scratch now. It will just add to your frustration and reduce your confident. The suggestion is to pick up the subject that you are most comfortable with, and revise that. That’s it. Focus on Pedagogy Trust us. Pedagogy is the trump card that will sail you through. CDP, and pedagogy of various subjects, together comprises of 60% of questions for Paper 1 and 53% of questions for Paper 2. Therefore, if you prepare the pedagogy part well, and answer the questions with around 90% accuracy, then you will easily corner 81 questions (72 in case of paper 2) out of the required 90. Do not learn new concepts in Mathematics So you are not comfortable with algebra or quadratic equations? Good! Leave them aside. We suggest you to ignore the questions you don’t know the short cuts of, and take them only when you have any time left — which is the least likely scenario. There are chances that you might spend more than 36 seconds on these questions – will not be able to solve them – will waste some more time – still no success. As mentioned above, answer those sections first, in which you are comfortable.
