5 yrs old- I am making faces in the mirror laughing at myself with each contortion. What wonder the mirror holds for me! 10 yrs old-I am so smart and beautiful. I keep smiling at my reflection in the mirror. I see all I can be in that reflection of mine. 15 yrs old-I am crying. The boy I like said I am too homely to be seen with. The mirror is my enemy. 20 yrs old-I got a new hair cut today but wonder what everyone else will think. My reflection stares back at me full of doubt. 30 yrs old-I am getting ready to walk down the isle. I hope I will be a good wife and please everyone. Hopefully my reflection is pleasing to everyone and fulfills others need. 35 yrs old-I am making dinner and my baby is swaying in the swing. My reflection from the pot looks back at me. My hair is a mess and I dont even know who I am. The mirror is empty. 40 yrs old-I am staring at my reflection in the mirror. Soft wrinkles are beginning to surface and a few greys glistening on top of my head. How beautiful I look. My face is full of life, has seen so much love, has overcome. I see all that I have been and will continue to be. What wonder the mirror holds for me.
