50 years ago I was a young teenager about 13 in Bradford! I, like most kids in those days had a job aside from going to school. I worked on a Battery Chicken Farm where I cleaned, fed and collected eggs from about 2,000 chickens, I was paid 10 shillings a week for this 7 day job. As I was leaving on this day a local guy who I knew told me that John Kennedy had been shot dead, my answer to him was: Who is John Kennedy? In Bradford, international news was not a big thing really!
