5K @ 19:12. Iaido - I had an ah hah moment with O-chiburi. That was always my weakest chiburi and it suddenly clicked. Evan and I had a good duel in Kendo. He was up 2-1 and I could not seem to score from Jodan. He told me he had thought long and hard as how to neutralize my fighting from that guard. How romantic. ;) So, I went back to Chudan (middle guard) and went back to relying on speed, winning the match 5-2. I had to buckle down with sensei too. I was thinking too much and was down 5-1, but powered back to 5-3 before time ran out. I also had to remind myself about mushin or turning off the mind. We had a six cut phrase, back and forth until I used a sabre move. On the parry I flick my wrist and push down slightly to cause the opponent to overcompensate their parry. Senseis blade came up to block and my tip slid right around for a flank cut. THWOP! Do Ari!
