6:00pm Parade Step Off at 3rd & Mill ATTENTION: Family and Friends Camille and her pageant friends will be in the Tempe Lights Parade tonight it starts at 6:00pm, so if you are in the area come check out. Info is below ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ SPECTATORS: Enjoy the beauty of the holiday season amid the glittering lights of the Mill Avenue District as the 19th annual parade celebrates “Santa’s Workshop!” the day after Thanksgiving. The parade includes as many as 40 units, including floats, balloons, clowns, novelty units, marching bands, and the arrival of Santa Claus. The parade proceeds down Mill Avenue from 3rd Street and turns on 7th Street to proceed through Centerpoint Plaza, where Tempe’s festively decorated holiday tree awaits ceremonial lighting at the conclusion of the parade. Don’t miss the Fantasy of Lights Tree Lighting Ceremony Presented by State Farm, in Centerpoint Plaza at the conclusion of the parade. Emcees Mark & Monica from 98.7 The Peak will host the Tree Lighting ceremony and the Mayor of Tempe assists honored guests in the countdown. A special invited guest, Santa Claus, takes the stage for his official duties and then takes his seat in Centerpoint Plaza to hear children’s special gift requests. Downtown Tempe Community, Inc. will offer free Santa photos for families, which will be posted online for download.
