6:15 PM, November 2, 2014 Nothing with pictures is going to get through to all of you readers and Prayer Warriors from the hospital tonight. My guess is the weekend visitor influx is so large that the already spotty wifi is overworked. I have tried by phone and my laptop multiple times to send out reports. So you may read some things twice....bits that I wrote as captions....later if I go to the hotel and the postings go through. It has been a fabulous day. But I actually feel glum and exhausted although it is Andrew that did all the hard work. Everyone has left so it is just the Miracle Man and me. We have always referred to him as the Miracle Baby-but I would imagine he would not want me to continue to reference him that way. Miracle Man has a nice sound to it-and elementary school teachers love anything with alliteration in it. Joe couldnt sleep (again) last night. The man has slept through ANYTHING and EVERYTHING our entire marriage. This little adventure/misadventure has affected us both in different ways. He ended up getting up and going to the hospital around 5:00 AM this morning to see Andrew. When he walked in and sat down, Andrew woke up at some point and said to Joe, Look what the cat dragged in. Big news today: Andrew has now gone so long with out any incidences of HR or blood pressure scares that he is being moved to a room where they will not have him on a constant monitor. He also did quite a walk around the floor today. He sat on his own and so far is leaving the tube alone. They actually took the sitter off for a couple of hours.........but one will rejoin us when we go to the new room. Confusions still occur....soccer came up and I quietly said he wouldnt be allowed to play contact sports anymore. One of them repeated the phrase and he told her it was due to an ACL injury. New Jersey has been coming up as his home lately. Andrewisms today......to the OT/PT gal...What is your opinion on drinking? When she asked what kind of drinking he replied, At this point even water would work. When Dr. Simpson passed Andrew in the hallway walking with the OT/PT people he asked, Hey buddy, how ya doing? Andrews reply, Im still alive. Good signs......Rachel was standing by the side of his bed and he grumpily told her to move. She was blocking the view of the football game. He also has warned me NOT to take his phone with me tonight. If any of you get a call in the middle of the night from him asking to come and bust him out, please make static noises and tell him he is breaking up. Hell forgive you eventually. BETTER SIGNS! Weve just moved to a room that has no annoying beeps and noisy machinery! He will have a sitter tonight, but the nurse said she convinced Dr. Simpson if he goes the night that they will drop having one tomorrow. I am signing off.....last good sign...he is channel surfing again. That is a sign if ever there were one that things are on the mend. Vaya con Dios, Robin
