As you plan your day please be advised that there is a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorms today and tonight across parts of Central and Eastern Texas, most of Louisiana, and even into southwestern Mississippi. (The risk area includes the following large population areas (Houston, TX...Dallas, TX...Austin, TX...Ft. Worth, TX...Arlington, TX…) The entire region is forecast to see a good amount of rain so don’t forget the umbrella on the way out the door. The severe weather threat includes the possibility for high winds, hail, and even an isolated tornado or two. This is a very wet system so any threats that exists may easily become wrapped in rain and difficult to identify before it hits so please plan to follow your severe weather emergency plan and watch/listen for weather updates and changes throughout the day.
