6 days to go till Washington DC Started out very chilly this morning running from Roanoke then by 11 it was in the 60s and pleasant. A ton of traffic zooming by all day with small shoulders, its good I have catlike quickness. Started raining as I got into Bedford. A Bruce Johannesen from the Bedford Elks Lodge 2844 called and the Lodge covered my room tonight. He brought me around to get food and pay for my room, very nice to meet him and I appreciate it very much. A Roger Sheppard called me this afternoon to speak at the Lynchburg Elks Lodge 321 tomorrow night so I look forward to it. I plan on running to Amherst tomorrow which is 10 miles further Appreciate our Veterans and Servicemen and have a blessed evening
