6 weeks on since the last update and it has been slow progress. This procedure has knocked Thomas back much more than we originally thought. Even though the consultant said 3 months recover, Thomas has always surpassed expectations so we thought this would be no exception. Unfortunately, after Christmas Thomas was still predominantly in his wheelchair and any time he was out of it he was dragging his right foot behind him and said it felt like it would give way under him. We decided to up his physio in the week before returning to school and after 4 grueling and at times painful sessions with Jennifer, his physiotherapist, we have seen some decent progress at last. He is now walking properly, although he still tires and needs his chair at times. Tonight he has finally returned to his beloved boxing training without any assistive devices and he did fine. This weekend we are back down to Newport to see Jeremy at The Celtic Academy for 2 days of strength and conditioning. Will update you all on what goes on. Thank you for all your good wishes. I do tell Thomas and he does appreciate them all xx
