6 yrs ago I heard the words Sorry Mrs. Kelly but it looks like Pierce has autism. Life changing, certainly an unforgettable moment. I think I spent about 5 weeks taking it all in. I spent countless hours scouring through the bible and looking at all the times Jesus healed someone- I think to the fear of CJ half expecting to come home and find Pierce covered in spit and mud. I ended up coming across some amazing websites and links to Tacanow.org and Generation rescue and a group of Mums who said No! We wont just take that. Theres got to be a way to fight back?! Weve spent 6yrs gluten free, casein free, detoxing from metals, and detoxing from yeast. It has not always been easy and weve not had 365 days of recovery from autism but I will take those AMAZING days of clarity as victory!! God may never completely heal Pierce of this in this world, but I believe with all my being he will be free one day. The saying in our home is you have autism but autism doesnt have you We wont cry Uncle and we will fight to get the upper hand everyday if thats what it takes. With man this is impossible, but with God ALL things are possible -Matt 19:26 Why sometimes Ive believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast - Alice I pray for every family out there dont give up, dont give in take it all one small or giant step at a time. Know even the tiniest step forward is still a step forward. Happy autism awareness day!!
