615am prayer....Eternal God our Father, we thank You for allowing us to see another day. Thank You for bringing us to the close of another week. Thank You for keeping us safe from day to day. Thank You for supplying every need. Thank You for Your goodness. Thank You for Your kindness. Thank You for Your faithfulness. You are God and we bless You today. You are the Sovereign One. You are the Holy One. You are the Righteous One and we give You glory. Father, we pray today that You help us become persistent in prayer. One definition of persist is: to continue past a usual or expected time. Lord, help us to push past our usual time of praying. Help us to push past our usual time of fasting. Help us to become persistent in prayer. Help us to become persistent in pursuing Your presence. All that we need, we find in You. If we are persistent in pursuing You, the things that we are seeking for will be found. The liberty and freedom we desire will be ours. Your Word reminds us: Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Cor 3:17). The peace of mind we are seeking is in Your presence. The joy we are longing for is found in Your presence. Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore (Ps 16:11). Many times we are seeking You for our own personal gain. But if we can learn to linger in Your presence; if we can learn to stay at Your feet, even after we have received what weve asked for, we will find that You will add all the other things we need to live from day to day. Your Word reminds us: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Mt 6:33). Oh, if we would seek You FIRST, everything that we need will be added. If we just simply seek You and bask in Your presence..... Help us to learn to stay in Your presence. Help us learn how to dwell in Your presence. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Ps 91:1). Many times we encourage people to push into the presence of the Lord but we dont encourage them to stay in His presence. We are consistent when it comes to asking God for what we want. But when He meets that need, we are gone until we need Him again. But I want to be like the believers in Matthew 15. After they received their healing, they stayed in the presence of Jesus. They were not concerned with eating, having on the same clothes from the day before, etc. All they wanted to do was stay in the presence of Jesus. They came to Him for healing, but once their request was granted they STAYED RIGHT THERE!! They didnt leave but remained persistent in pursing Him presence. Lord, make me not only consistent, but persistent. I will be persistent in prayer. I will be persistent in perusing Your presence. Lord, HELP ME TO BE CONSISTENT AND PERSISTENT!!!!!............In Jesus Mighty Name..............Amen.
