61st MAG- Lightfoot FTX training Schedule: Counter Bayonet training and some basic Hand to Hand training. This will be a 2 hour class. If you have or can get a rubber training knife it will facilitate some of the stuff were gonna do. Were gonna be training with our rifles for counter bayonet which means that we will be going over the basics of attacking with a bayonet before we can practice countering against a bayonet. If you can pick up a rubber training knife somewhere it will make the training a little more realistic. Were gonna duct tape the training knife to the business end of our rifles. If you dont have a suitable long gun, AR or AK you can go to your local hardware store and get a 6 wooden dowel 1-1/2 dia preferably, cut 2 feet off the end of it and you can use that to train with. You can also go that route if you have some expensive optics on your gun that you dont want to get dinged up. This class will start at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Drawing from a holster and Stress Point Index: It is preferable (required) that you have a kydex or leather hip holster for this class. If you have a nylon/cordura holster it must be stiff enough to hold its shape when you re-holster your firearm with one hand. This is a safety issue. You dont want to shoot yourself in the leg when re-holstering your firearm. If you have a shoulder holster you can not participate in the Drawing from Holster segment of this class. However you can still participate in the Stress Point Index shooting segment of the class. If you have a shoulder holster you will be starting from the Low Ready position for safety reasons which will be explained at the beginning of the class. This class will start at 10:00 AM on Sunday and will last for one hour or maybe an hour and a half. I realize that some people will want to get out early on Sunday so you gotta figure out what you want to do in that regard. Pack up early or have your friends help you pack up after the class.
