625 Squadron lost 3 aircraft on the night of 15th/16th March 1994 (70 years ago) whilst on operations to Stuttgart. P/O D.J. Gigger was the pilot of Lancaster W4833, CF-J which took off from Kelstern, Lincolnshire at 18.55hrs on the evening of the 15th, it is presumed that the aircraft crashed into the sea off the coast of France, five of the seven crew are posted as missing and therefore remembered on the Runnymede Memorial, the other two, the flight engineer and your great uncle lie in Abbeville Cemetery and Dannes Communal cemetery. Today especially WE WILL REMEMBER THEM!
