#63: Gordon Flees the Country There was once a tale told by Gordon Bourne that captures Grenada better than most. After finals, Gordon needed to leave quickly in order to be an usher at his cousins wedding in the UK. Because Gordon is silly, he booked the first step of this time-sensitive journey with Liat. When he arrived at the airport, they explained that the flight time had been changed from 1:30 to 12:30, so he was too late--the plane was already taxiing on the runway. Thinking quickly, Gordon stressed the urgency--he MUST be in London for a wedding tomorrow! What follows is Gordons first hand account, give or take: Sir, is this YOUR wedding? Gordon: (After a lengthy, and suspicious pause) ... ...Yes. Frantic phone calls were made, and my bag was grabbed by baggage staff, who ran away. Men with radios appeared, and I was given a boarding pass. They ran with me, straight to the front of the security queue, to applause and joyful laughter from the security team, happy to play their part in ensuring the groom make it to the wedding on time.
