6AM UPDATE: I expect the tornado watch to be dropped very soon. Our threat has diminished significantly in the past hour. Mainly due to strong storms to the south disrupting the moisture transport north into our area. Without moisture, storms have no chance. WE ARE NOT OUT OF THE WOODS YET. Like weve said, this will be waves of threats, this is only the first one. Later today more storms will fire up along a front. This will produce 2-5 inches of rain across the area and flooding will be possible. All threats remain in play later today. We have the threat meter at a 6 out of 10.
