6th Annual GFJI Gathering “Food is Medicine, Water is Life" Taos, New Mexico October 18 - 20, 2013 This year Growing Food and Justice for All Initiative (GFJI) and Growing Power Inc. are excited to partner with the Taos County Economic Development Corporation (TCEDC) to host the 6th Annual GFJI Gathering in Taos, New Mexico. GFJI Gathering Scholarship Application - due June 30th, 2013 (THIS DATE IS FIRM!) Gathering 2013 Scholarship Application in doc. or pdf format is on the website: growingfoodandjustice.org Email application and income verification to [email protected] All scholarship applicants will be notified with a decision by July 30th, 2013 with instructions on how to register for the conference. Scholarship Information Scholarships are designated primarily for limited income people of color, although exceptions may be made based on the information requested in the application forms. We will further evaluate based on commitment to food and social justice. The Scholarship Program strives to promote effective action after the gathering, not just participation at the gathering. This year, we are offering registration scholarships for the 2 ½ day gathering which includes lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday. Please note: No pre-gathering ILFT, travel or lodging scholarships are available. Scholarship Recipients Responsibilities Awardees will be asked to complete a short (approximately 200 word) reflection of their 2013 gathering experience 1 month after attending to be added to the growingfoodandjustice.org website.
