6th EfCCNa CONGRESS 2015 Expanding Horizons of Critical Care Nursing in Europe Valencia, Spain | 29 - 31 January 2015 Attend Europe’s largest critical care nursing conference! Attend the 6th EfCCNa Congress to share evidence-based practice in assessment and management of the critically ill and critical care education and training with professionals from around the world. A promising and stimulating scientific programme will showcase the best current critical care research, practice and educational approaches. A few new presentation formats (symposia and master classes) have been created to provide valuable opportunities to network and engage with topic experts, and also provide new opportunities for industry partners. This Congress also welcomes two keynote speakers: Kay Mitchell, a member of the extreme Everest expeditions that explore the effects of hypoxia to develop treatments to improve outcomes in critically ill patients, and Dr Louise Rose, who’s expertise focuses on the ventilated patient in diverse settings including the intensive care unit, emergency department, specialized weaning centre, long-term care, and the community. Call for abstracts The 6th EfCCNa Congress invites submissions from those interested in intensive care presenting oral papers or posters. Deadline for submission: 8 September 2014. Call for symposia A symposium is a presentation of between three and five papers with a shared focus (for example, a symposium on rehabilitation may have presenters who each present one aspect that may include psychological; nutrition; physical; quality of life).
