6th grade national team took a couple of losses early as it tried to establish itself and get used to each other. This was their first tournament together and have only practiced together a couple of times. They rebounded on sunday as they opened the morning up with a victory. The championship game came down to the wire. With only 6 guys and pressing the entire weekend and game they showed tremendous heart and determination as they were down the whole game. under a minute to go Caleb Lemon had a big steal and pass to Josh Fryar who knocked down a baseline mid range jumper to tie it up. NE Extreme made one free throw with under 20 seconds left and took the lead by 1. Time for one last play and the ball ended up in Caleb Lemons hands who banked in a 3 with only 6 seconds left. I guess the bank is open on sundays! Great defense and poise closed it out with a two point victory! Hats off to all the boys this weekend I am a very excited and proud Program Director, The future is looking bright! Win - Extreme Blue, Loss - Pentagon, Loss - SF Chargers, Win - Extreme, and Win - White Extreme Blue
