7:11am Thomas Sankara Good evening I am writing you to complain about the Barbados Government and its lack of transparency on a proposed Plasma Gasufication Plant. This plant was propose by a company called 7th Heaven Real Estate out if the UK on behalf of a company recently incorporated in Guernsey call Cahill Energy which on checking is either owned or fronting for another company which is also owned by another company. The Future Centre Trust which I am part of sent three letters to the Government of Barbados over the last 9 months and have not gotten one single response. However, the most suspicious thing about this contract is that company Alter NRG who Cahill Energy is contracting to build this Plasma Gasification Waste To Energy plant is building a 15Megawatt plant for US$15M while the Barbados plant of 35Megawatt is to be built by the same Alter NRG at a cost of US$244M. Thus the average Barbadian must wonder how Barbados scores so high yearly in transparency. My country cannot afford to allow the absence of transparency and we beg for your assisstance in bringing this lack of transparency to the attention of the world.
