7:40 AM 7/9 – Cooler and less stormy weather can enter the region now behind yesterday’s heat and strong thunderstorms! We aren’t in the clear just yet for storms, but today’s risk looks severe than yesterday. TODAY – It’ll be partly sunny and still warm, with highs heading for the upper 80s this afternoon. Some isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible, but we don’t expect a widespread outbreak like Tuesday. Humidity remains high today. TONIGHT – Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with muggy conditions and lows only in the upper 60s to around 70º. A few stray showers/storms may be around. THURSDAY – Partial sunshine looks likely again with moderate to high humidity sticking around. Temperatures may be slightly cooler though with highs in the low to mid 80s. Some isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible again as the front stalls just south of us. FRIDAY – A stray shows possible again but generally decent with highs in the low to mid 80s, moderate to high humidity and partial sunshine at best returning. LOOKING AHEAD – Saturday looks similar to Friday with the mid 80s for highs and partial sunshine. Sunday may be a touch warmer with a better chance for storms. Storm chances look to last into at least Monday and possibly Tuesday of next week before the next cold front pushes through. Stay tuned and have a wonderful day! (Forecaster Mike)
