7 DAYS FASTING AND PRAYER FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER - DAY 3 THEME: DIVINE HEALTH. Scriptural Reference: 3 John 2. TOPIC: HEALING & HEALTH THROUGH REPENTANCE..James 5:14-16 No doubt God wants us to be in good health (3John 2). When we fall sick, He promises to heal us (Jer. 30:17). However, Scriptures tell us that sickness may sometimes come as a result of our sin. That is why Elder James in his Epistle admonishes us to confess our faults... to be healed (5:16). This act of confession means we are sorry for our sin (repentance). When we repent we are made right with God again (righteous). Then we can pray in faith fervently and have good results. Notice, he says, THE PRAYER OF FAITH SHALL SAVE THE SICK; and, ...PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH... If you are not yet a child of God, this is the best time to become born again and join Gods family... (link: ===> godlife) Prayer Points. 1. Father in the name of Jesus, I repent of all my sins as a result of which I find myself in this condition. 2. Oh Lord, forgive sins by any of my ancestors which might have qualified me for this suffering in the name of Jesus. 3. I dip myself in the Blood of Jesus. I am washed and made whole in the name of Jesus. NOW PRAY FERVENTLY LIKE RIGHTEOUS MAN OR WOMAN OF FAITH. 4. Heal me O Lord, and I shall be healed in the name of Jesus. 5. Sickness (mention the name), my life is not your candidate. Vacate now in the name of Jesus. 6. Isaiah 53 verse 5 says Jesus was wounded for our transgressions... bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. So I declare that I am healed in the name of Jesus. Now Read Exodus 15:26; Psalm 107:20 and sing praises to God like this: 7. YOU ARE THE GOD THAT HEALETH ME. YOU ARE THE LORD MY HEALER. YOU SENT YOUR WORD AND HEALED MY DISEASE. YOU ARE THE LORD MY HEALER. Continue to praise God in this (or similar) prayer and song till the Spirit releases you. Shalom!
