7 Keys to the Art of Following 1. Follow men of God through their teachings and doings In Acts 1:1, Luke wanted Theophilus to know what Jesus did and taught. 2. Follow men of God by following their teachings. From their teachings you will receive revelation, learn strategies and ideas which will be meaningful to you. 3. Follow men of God by following what they do. You can learn from their lives, their challenges and success. Like King Solomon be able to reflect, meditate and receive wisdom from what you see. In the same way you can follow the Lord Jesus by His life. 4. Follow a man of God by following his teachings and his life. E.g. His love for the lost, compassion and His teachings 5. Follow people that lived in biblical times. We can learn from their lives. For example, David. 6. Follow people that lived after biblical times. E.g. Smith Wigglesworth. His faith and his love from the scriptures. You can also learn from their shortcomings. E.g. Jack Coe 7. Follow people who are alive and serving the Lord today. Dont allow negative stories about a person who is alive to influence you. This is the most difficult one, as we tend to value people after they are dead. It takes humility to follow people who are alive!
