7 Random Things About Me: 1. Ive been working at the same place of employment, since I was 17. 2. Im allergic...to almost everything topical. Lipstick, after an hour makes me look like I got botox. Im even allergic to Benadryl (the day I found that out, was very counter productive)! 3. Ive had 16 dogs in my lifetime, and I cried myself to sleep after each one died/left. I still tear up thinking about some of them. 4. When I ask someone how they are doing...I really, truly want to know, and LOVE more than just a one word response. And I hate it when people ask how I am, and WANT a one word response. 5. When I was pregnant with my son, several tests came back positive for Down syndrome. Jamie and I researched and learned and tried to prepare all we could on how to care for and raise a child with Down syndrome. In that moment, in my last tri-mester, honestly, I felt a little disappointed when the specialist confirmed he did not have Downs. 6. When I was a kid, I thought my dad was a Veterinarian. We had a lot of animals, he was good at treating and caring for them, and once I had overheard a conversation about my dad being a Vet! (...Vietnam Vet :-)) 7. And my # 7 is the same as my best friend (Shelby Brennans) #7, we decided in Kindergarten that we would be best friends, and that was that. I know she would be there in a heartbeat if I needed her, and she knows the same goes for her. Weve never needed all the extra fluff. ;) ....and a bonus, a few hours ago I purposely sacrificed my microwave to start a fire. (You see, I promised my kids that we would camp out in the bedroom by the real fireplace and make smores. I could not find a match or lighter anywhere!! So, a little bit if veg oil soaked paper towel, a piece of foil, and a birthday candle for transferring the flame...voila! I keep my promises. (Microwave is fine)
