7 Things you may not know about me,, 1) I was born at St. Lukes Womans Hospital in Harlem NY. I find this kind of fore shadowing given the influence that Catholicism, women, and African-American culture has had on my life. 2) I attended two Catholic Seminaries with David Ardito, David Lopez, Paul Zimmerman, Joseph DAmico, Joey Cesarani, Mark Turcio, Rick Suydam, Joe Webb, Vincent Fortunato, and Ben Maurais. 3) I have 2 brothers, 2 sisters,5 nieces, 8 nephews, a 26 year old son, and a 6 year old daughter. 4) My nicknames have included Benny, Big Ben, Benni-Man, Dom Tito, Divo, Benny Blanco from the Bronx! But my favorite is Daddy. 5) I have visited Nicaragua, Guatemala, Cuba and East Germany. Which I am sure has put me on someones watch list. 6) 2013 has been extremely challenging for me and many of my friends and family. So many of us have experienced serious economic losses, the unexpected death of loved ones, and life threatening disease. I am praying really hard that things turnaround in 2014. 7) I usually dont respond to chain letter emails or FB posts. It reminds me too much of the novenas to Catholic saints that were popular when I was growing up.
