7 tidbits about my pregnancies that you may or may not know and may or may not care about. Like this status thing and Ill bestow a number upon you. 1. I was newly 19 when I found out I was expecting Brandon and became a single mom the day after my 20th. birthday. 2. I got pregnant with Ethan on birth control. 3. I was induced with Addison at 39 weeks because they swore she was going to be over 10 pounds and that my body wouldnt be able to handle that large of a baby in delivery. I was induced on the 23rd. of July at exactly 12 a.m. and gave birth to a healthy 8 pd. 8 oz. baby girl :) p.s. inductions suck! 4. My last 2 deliveries were natural because the epidurals did NOT work. 5. Addison was born with a cystic hygroma that externally filled the palm of my hand and underwent lots of testing etc. before surgery at 4.5 months old. The cyst was much larger then even the doctors knew and spanned almost like beaded rope all the way down her side and back up. 6. I fell on Halloween 2009 from my parents porch steps straight down onto my belly and the concrete when pregnant with Courtney and went into pre-mature labor that night, luckily they stopped it only for her to make her appearance 2.5 weeks early and in record time. 2 hours from start to finish, didnt even have to push the contractions were so intense. 7. At 10 weeks pregnant with Ethan the placenta started to detach and we rushed to the E.R. where I spent 8 hours laying in a pool of blood wondering wether my baby was gone. I developed Polyhydramnios during the 2nd half of my pregnancy with him (too much amniotic fluid and occurs in around 2% of pregnancies I thank GOD every day it was not a traceable cause such as cleft lift, abnormalities etc.) My labor was intense, assisted with pitocin to make my contractions that were already strong and one on top of the other even stronger, 2 nurses bearing their weight down on my stomach and me pushing to finally deliver my beautiful baby boy. Someone forgot to turn the pitocin off after I delivered and I was in labor still for 5 more minutes before it was shut off and I was given a narcotic to calm me down. I also had blood cots the length of a ruler and thankfully had a wonderful OBGYN that knew to look because there was no blood during the entirety or I could have passed away. I am blessed!!!
