7 years old boy electrocuted by faulty High tension line near GT Road A seven year old boy was electrocuted to death due to government negligence at J block khadha village area of Swaroop Nagar, GT road in north delhi. Nitish Kumar s/o Shiv Kumar while playing with his colony friends went to the roof of his neighbours house, when he was helplessly pulled from a distance of four feet by 33000 volts NTPL high tension line. The boy got burnt and died on the spot. The wiring in these areas are hanging 2 ft above the colony roofs and continues to be naked since decades. So far approximately 500 people mostly children have died due to this. However, complaints of local residents have fallen of deaf ears. The police and the members of the parliament were also witness to the funeral ceremony. The post mortem report is pending from Jugh Jeevan Hospital, Jahangirpuri. FIR has been lodged at the Swaroop Nagar Thana.
