70 Years ago today, the brave men of the allied forces began the biggest invasion known and stormed the beaches of normandy(omaha,utah,gold,sword and juno) against a well orginised and well dug in enemy.the loss of life and amount of casualties that day alone were catastrophic to say the very least but for our boys to fight through against the resistance of the nazi regime and finally liberate and shape europe for what it is today is nothing short of remarkable.
