70 years ago today, brave soldiers stormed the beaches of Normandy, turning the war into forces of freedoms favor. My grandfather fought in WW2, protecting freedom and justice not just for our country, but for the world. In my career in public service, I have looked to my grandfather for inspiration to fight for the liberty and freedom of all Americans. Not just the privileged, not just the rich, but for every American who deserves equal rights and opportunity. Join me and President Obama in honoring the sacrifices made by those brave soldiers who protected liberty and prevented tyranny from destroying everything we hold dear.
