72 hour kit ideas. Christine you had asked for ideas on how people do their 72 hour kits. Mine are staged with a backpack for everyone if you only have five minutes notice. The pictures below show what I put as an example in the kit. If I have more than five minutes then I have a three month supply of every single thing that I would use in my house in tubs that I could grab them if I have time. You will notice in the backpacks that everything is sectioned into wash kit, clothing, etc and everything is put in bags. That way youre not as tempted to use your kit, but also keeps everything dry. Bags could then be used for other purposes. I have all the contents typed in an Excel spreadsheet with all the sizes of underwear and socks etc. that way I look at the spreadsheet to know what I put in it and can tell that I still have diapers in a nine-years old bag.
