8.13.2013 Stories Have you ever wondered why the Bible has so many stories? Those stories are important to us because many of them apply directly to our lives. We see Elisha and the Shunammite woman happen again, thousands of years later, when Brother Branham visited the sister in Memphis. Thousands upon thousands of people have been healed with prayer cloths described in Acts 19. The story of the Rich Young Ruler has given countless young people a warning, so they don’t suffer the same fate as he did. How many of us can put ourselves in the disciples’ place as they made mistake after mistake? We could go on and on. Display content We feel the same about Brother Branham’s Message. It’s not always the Seven Seals or Marriage and Divorce that we think about on a daily basis. Usually it’s the simple testimonies or stories that we see happening in our own lives. Not only did these things happen decades ago, but they are also happening again today. We received this testimony from a brother in Zimbabwe who found himself in one of the stories Brother Branham told. On March 15, our 3-month-old family car was stolen in complicated circumstances. I made a police report a few days later and appealed to the saints to assist in prayer. Remembering Brother Evans’ case, I ran to the quotations and read them over and over again, making declarations for the thief to return my car. It didn’t happen spontaneously as I expected. I began to lose faith. During the jubilee revival week a few weeks ago, I made sure to fast and listen to every one of the five messages during a work trip away from home. At the end of my second day of fasting, I received a call of a lead of the whereabouts of my car. The man who called me offered assistance to get me to where the car was.
