8/23/14 Campaign Update We received signed pledges from every County Council District race and every signer pledged to both options! Option 1 - I will vote, as a County Council Member, to proactively place Let Volusia Votes Amendment on the ballot saving the citizens the trouble of having to collect signatures. Option 2 - If there are not sufficient votes to get the Let Volusia Vote Amendment on the ballot by council action thereby requiring the collection of petitions to achieve ballot placement, I will not vote to challenge the petitions in court or prevent the Amendment from getting on the ballot. The results: • County Council: At Large Representative Joyce Cusack SIGNED Webster Barnaby (Candidate did not respond by deadline) Patricia Northey (Candidate did not respond by deadline) • County Council: District 1 Andy Kelly SIGNED Voloria Manning (Candidate did not respond by deadline) Ronnie Mills (Candidate did not respond by deadline) Pat Patterson (Candidate did not respond by deadline) • County Council: District 3 Justin Kennedy SIGNED David Machuga SIGNED Deborah Denys (Candidate did not respond by deadline) • County Council: District 5 Rich Gailey SIGNED Phil Giorno (Candidate did not respond by deadline) Fred Lowry, Jr. (Candidate did not respond by deadline) Special Surprise - County Councilman Joshua Wagner, who is not even up for election this year, SIGNED the Let Volusia Vote Pledge.
