8 Things You May Not Know About Me: 1 - My dad is from Guatemala and I spent a whole month there at Christmas time when I was 8 to meet family. 2 - My first dream job was to be a waitress because the waitress at Dennys was really nice to me when my family would go there for a regular breakfast outing. I must have been 3 or 4 years old. 3 - I got to be a flower girl for many of my cousins weddings and therefore have a strange longing for white patent leather shoes, a bottle of nail polish remover, and cotton balls. 4 - I was secretly auditioned for a Hardees commercial in 1st grade. The principal was walking through the library with another man. I was there to use a carrel so I could watch and listen to a film strip. I remember them pointing over at me while I was waiting in line for the librarian. They then came over and the principal introduced the man and we went into one of the small rooms behind the carrels. He had a tongue twister about guppies or goldfish. I knew better than to talk to strangers, but the principal said it was ok, but mom and dad wasnt there to tell me it was ok, so I tried but was really nervous and didnt do so well. A year later I saw a commercial for Hardees with a young red headed girl saying the same tongue twister! It wasnt until then that I realized I had a secret audition. If it wasnt for that healthy dose of stranger danger I could have been somebody! 5 - Dad interviewed with IBM in the late 80s in Rochester, MN. I pitched a big hissy about having to potentially move. I blame myself for the family not having the opportunity to be part of that company. 6 - I have very fond memories of the 3M company picnics that the company threw in the 80s and early 90s. Free gummi bears, ice cream, and Popsicle pops until you could puke. Those guys really knew how to throw a party! 7 - I never wanted to major in music. I saw too many older student friends go off to college in music but end up changing their major to psychology or accounting. A fate worse than death in my mind. I never thought it possible to make a living as a musician. I was partially right. Alone it is rough. So much easier with two! 8 - My dream of acting came full circle when I was Tweety Bird and Tazmanian Devil at the Warner Bros. Studio Store in the Mall of America. Validation that I AM SOMEBODY!!!
