8 artists inspired by 8 songs, each by a Singapore musician, create 8 works of art to be exhibited and sold at #lushloveslocal Art x Music event at Yeo Workshop, Gillman Barracks. All proceeds will go towards the Autism Association of Singapore, Lush 99.5’s adopted charity for 2014. (autismlinks.org.sg) In this web series, we interview Sam Lo/SKL0 – an urban visual artist currently based in Singapore specializing in installations, who constantly strives to hone her skills by working with a wide array of various mediums such as sculpting, watercolors, wheatpaste and spray paint. SKL0 is also founder of the platform RCGNTN, member of urban art collective RSCLS, and one-half of low-brow art outfit PBK. Sam Lo shares about her creation of the work, the song that has inspired it and what she thinks about the creative scene in Singapore.
