8 months ago Kibo & I started on a new journey in life entering into the world of agility trials. I needed a goal & passion for something. A path leading to hope & happiness. He needed a outlet for his high drive along with guidance. Together we dove into training a little clueless & overwhelmed with having to do all of it ourselves. He knew nothing, I knew very little. But we worked things out together along with some amazing friends who gave us tips along the way. Sooo much to learn with a desire to prove we could do it!! We didnt make any Nationals or Regionals for that matter. We were not the Best team out there by any standards. We flubbed up alot even to the point of embarrassment at times;-) I tripped & rolled him his 1st time running a trial. He left me to socialize with the judge or anyone else who thought he was cute (that was a lot of people ;-) I struggled with confidence.....Am I doing this right, will he forgive me for my screw ups, will he run even when I make no sense to him, will all the noise and new scents overwhelm his attention, Will he love it even through the stress of competing & most of all could I physically do what was needed to handle him with my physical limitations. Through all that I am sooooo proud to say that Kibo was a trooper & did more then I could even imagine!!!! He has proved himself to be the AWESOME little agility dog I knew he was:-) Hopefully we will keep climbing that agility trial ladder & if not...Well by golly we will have a BLAST trying, gaining new knowledge along the way & bond even deeper:-) Thanks Kibo buddy for running with me on this journey:-) Thanks also to all the people who have supported me, I am blessed!!
