8 things I learned about myself from an exhaustive labor-intensive Saturday. 1. I really AM that old. 2. The reason I took the carpets out of my downstairs was probably NOT because of my allergies, but because I am basically lazy and I HATE cleaning, especially carpets. 3. It is much more rewarding to do a nasty project for someone you love than for yourself. 4. I really am a big baby when it comes to pain. 5. I all boils down to math. (most things do). octogenarian + white carpet + husband with long illness = whiny daughter (and non-whiny son-in-law) on their hands and knees all day with scrub brush + very grateful mom. 6. Even the hardest day results in fond memories when it is ended with evening with wonderful old friends (lifers). 8.Apparently I cant count.
