To say my world came crumbling down would be an understatement, I had been hurt before but nothing had ever hurt as much as this. It was the ultimate betrayal and I knew from that moment that life as l knew had changed.I wanted to talk to SisB,but she was also Hopes friend,and I knew what she was gonna say,I called Thabiso Me:Thabiso Thabiso:Pearl? I was very mad at myself, I felt that l had kept myself down by being so stupid to not recognise all these things happening under my nose. They say a woman always knows when her husband is up to something, but I didnt.I wanted to kill someone,I cried tll I fell asleep. I was woken up by a soft touch on my shoulder,I sat straight and rubbed my eyes Hope:Babe please I closed the door and ran the engine,he knocked on the window,I reversered and drove off,he got in the car and drove behind me,I joined the tarred road,I looked through the rear mirror and saw him behind me,he was flashing his lights,I accelerated,overtaking a few cars,other drivers hooted,I searched for my phone,I looked at the back seat and found my handbag,I tried grabbing it to search for my phone in it,I used the other hand,and next thing I heard was a loud crash,I had hit another car,I sobered right away,I was shaking,my legs and hands were literally shaking,I got out of the car and leaned against it,there was a crowd,Hope pulled behind me and walked to me Hope:Ill handle this He walked to the other car.He took out his phone and made a call.He then walked to me Hope:Get in the car I stared at him Hope:Go get in the damn car He shouted Me:Iam not going anywhere with you Two towering trucks arrived,he went over to them and they talked,they towered both cars,I asked for my handbag and they gave it to me.I took out my phone and called SisB,she promised to come pick me up in twenty minutes.Hope held me Me:Please Hope Hope:Youv been drinking? I walked away from him,he followed me Me:I told you to stay away from me,stay away My phone beeped,SisBs text message,I removed my ring and threw it at him,he caught it and put it in his pocket.I walked to SisBs car and she drove off,we arrived and I showered,I took my bag and asked her to take me to Aneles school,I asked for ny daughter and we went to Kgosis,I asked for my son and we got a bus to my homevillage,I transfered numbers into my phone and changed simcard.We arrived and I put my kids to bed,my mother hugged me,I cried till I fell asleep. The following day I called Emma and asked him to take care of the company for me,I called SisB and we talked,she was as hurt and shocked as I was. Two days later,my mother and my uncle called a meeting,I told them everything Hope told me Uncle:You came with the kids,they are missing out at school Me:I found them a school here,theyl stay here with my mother till I sort out my next move Aunt:We should call Hope and talk to him,and call his uncles They all nodded their heads in agreement,Emma called and updated me,I thanked him and hung up.I went to the kitchen and prepared dinner,Kgosi walked in speaking to the phone,he was using my mothers phone,he handed me the phone Me:Hello Hope:Babe I hung up and served,I bathed the kids and bathed,I prayed with them and put them to bed. Mother:You want a divorce? Me:I dont know mah,I dont,I think I want him dead,he embarassed me its enough Mother:Pearl,dont ever mention those words again,not under my roof,you hear me We joined hands and she prayed,we went to bed. The following morning I sent Masego some money to come to us,she arrived after 5 hours.We had dinner and watched TV,my mothers phone rang,she looked at me and handed it to me Me:Hello Hope:Where the hell is Masego,I found the kids alone Me:I hired Masego,not you,I pay her,not you Hope:What if our kids got in- Me:Our? Hope:Please babe,the kids dont need this Me:My kids are safe with me Hope:What about JH and Charity? Me:I dont know,they are your kids with your wife,the one you father wanted you to marry I hung up and walked back in the house.Anele was sleeping,I took my kids to bed and we slept. Around 02:40hrs,there was a knock on the window,I kiSsed my kids and walked to the window,I opened it Me:Hope? He took out a gun and pointed at me Hope:Remember our vows?
