8TH OCTOBER, 2013 MORNING DEVOTION: AMAZING GRACE COMES THROUGH FAITH TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: “For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8 Faith is the foundation of all things in the kingdom of God! Grace comes through faith. You cannot have the grace of God without faith. You cannot get anything from God that you do not believe in. Some people have the impression that you have to labour for everything in life and cannot understand the concept of grace. As a matter of fact many of them do not believe it exists. They are so used to putting their effort to get things done and cannot fathom the concept of grace. Grace is a gift gotten from God through faith in the word of grace. Faith brings out the beauty in grace. “But without faith ,it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is ,and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. “Hebrews 11:6 Without faith, life is impossible and extremely difficult. When you please God, he gives you grace in return. The first major reward of faith is grace, which is a reflection of God’s glory on earth. Faith in the grace of God equals possibilities,Faith is the ability to see what God has said without considering prevailing circumstances. “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead,when he was about an hundred years old neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb.” Romans 4:19 Abraham’s faith ignored negative medical and physical circumstances around him. In order to grow in grace, your faith must grow. You can live daily in total victory and experience an unending stream of the miraculous as you put your faith to work like Abraham and other patriachs of faith did in the scriptures. “That ye be not slothful,but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12. This verse refers to those who through faith obtained grace as a promise and overcame every obstacle before them.They spoke forth words of faith with grace and whatever they declared came to pass. Today’s Response Build up your faith believing that you carry the grace of God upon your life and destiny.
