8th Graders Experimenting in Science! These students were all smiles while they manipulated the physical property of water. By adding salt to ice water surrounding their test tube which contained distilled water, students were able to reduce the freezing point of the salty water and cause the distilled water in the test tube to freeze while the salty water surrounding it remained liquid at below O degree Celsius temperatures! Students monitored temperatures using our new digital, stainless steel temperature probes. They recorded their data and made graphs for presentation. #newauburn
