8th Oct 2014 - Prevailing Over Ebola. Beloved, a secret unknown is a mystery yet to be revealed, until a secret is known and the mystery is unravelled, it is impossible to understand what strategy to devise, what action to take in order to derive an expected and favourable outcome or desired end result. So Ebola came into our world suddenly and there were questions asked and that are been asked on how this has happened to us, assuming it was African problem and manmade in nature explained away as due to pure hygiene, poverty and all manner of reason we have given to it. We have blamed each other especially our leaders for poor handling, non-preventive and proactive measures adding more pain to the heart of those who serve us yet no much difference has been made. There is a cry on the home front, in our city, no one can turn away his or her eyes from the grief of sudden death of the fathers and brothers, the bread winners, the genius students our tomorrow’s pride, the instrument of our nations greatness; the mothers and sisters leaving our nation with an increase in unplanned motherless children and orphans, destroying life’s; draining up our national reserve almost turning a growing economy to a begging nation needing rescue and support of others. Beloved, To have a good harvest, It is imperative that every farmer plant good seed in their field, so does God who created all things made all things good for man to enjoy, and when it comes to the creation of man, God finished with a knod, that It s very good. But an enemy invaded our land with a deadly virus called “Ebola” with the aim of doing only what he does best, stealing, killing our people at the tender age and bringing calamity that could destroy what was good in our nation. So what must we do to conquer these Ebola crises? We must put our differences aside, stop pointing finger at those who serve us (our current leaders, prime ministers/presidents and governmental bodies) or tag the affected nation as deserving the current crises but enquire from God where did Ebola originate from, what must we do to combat it, what strategy should we take and how could we conquer Ebola in the nations. There is nothing that has happened in our world today that is bigger than what God can handle if we would let him. We need to learn from the parable of the Weeds and the Wheat. Mat 13:24-30 1. All roads must lead to the throne of grace, where all leaders and her nation pray to the Lord and obtain mercy and find grace in this time of need to conquer Ebola Heb 4:16 2. Our leaders must acknowledge God who gave them privileges to serve and lead God’s people for all things belong to Him and he made them all. Heb 3:3-5, Gen 1, John 1:1-6 3. We must be prepared to destroy altars that is erected to idols of man, tradition, culture, religion and self that makes us displeasing to God and open us up to His wrath 4. Repent of our wrong doings and accept the forgiveness that Christ offers through His blood. Heb 9:12-14 5. Raise a golden altar to God over our nation by connecting our nation and her people back to God as our leaders publicly acknowledge and declare God’s sovereignty over our land. 2 Chr 7:11-14, 1 King 18:30-32, 6. Acknowledge that the sudden invasion of the enemy (Ebola) as an unexpected problem that showed up without warning 2 Chr 20: 12 7. Enquire to understand the reason for unexpectedly invasion of the enemy Ebola in our world; requesting for hindsight, insight and foresight on the resolution through diverse processes, engaging our nations administrators, researchers, pharmaceuticals companies, our medical experts and governmental parastatals. Prov 25:2, Deu 29:29, Psa 25:14 8. Obtain divine strategy to overcome Ebola and follow through in executing the divine solution in the fear of God with faith in our heart believing in the faithfulness of God to give us victory, conquering Ebola through the blood of Jesus. Rev 12:9-11 Beloved, We must continue to pray in faith until our expectation for total eradication of Ebola from our Land, for it is written “If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land”. Heb 11:6, 2 Chr 7:14. Title: Prevailing Over Ebola Virus
