8th September ,2014. VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT Geita Gold Mine (GGM) is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of North Western Tanzania. It is located within Geita Region, about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s South East of the nearest point of Lake Victoria and 5 Km’s west of Geita town. The Mine is owned and managed by Anglo Gold Ashanti Limited. Applications are invited from ambitious, energetic and performance driven individuals to fill a vacant position mentioned below: POSITION: Expediting Officer WORKS FOR: Senior Logistics Supervisor. QUALIFICATION: Form six with Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain. EXPERIENCE: 3 Years working experience in purchasing operations, as Buyer and expeditor. Dynamic knowledge and understanding of the Supply chain, Freight Forwarding, Cotecna/Tiscan destination inspection and the Mining environment. ROLE FUNCTION To provide a material supply service in respect of expediting Purchase orders to site. DUTIES / ACOUNTABILITIES: 1. Expedite container from Port of dispatch to Port of destination and record on SUN/Mainpac system/Geita stats report. 2. Upon arrival of container on site arrange with Freight Forwarder for immediate off-loading of container and de-stuffing thereof within 48 hours and record relevant info on Mainpac system/Geita stats report. 3. Resolve queries from internal and external sources. 4. Update tracking report as and when required 5. Learn and follow the Safety requirements related to your work OTHER REQUIREMENTS: 1. Be honest and trustworthy 2. Be holder of valid Tanzanian driving license 3.
