9.11.01....Like everyone else, I do remember exactly where I was and the sickening terror I felt when Elizabeth Oko called. She said, "Turn on the tv now!" But, you know what I remember more? I remember the hours, days, weeks, and even months following the tragedy. I remember how the USA was decorated with flags...from porches to stores to cars and pickup trucks. I remember the pride and sheer bond strangers felt simply because we are Americans. I honestly miss that feeling. So, in honor of the 343 firefighters, the police officers, EMT, and many citizens who lost their lives 12 years ago, I ask you to simply smile at everyone you pass today.
