9/11 I remember the day as if it was last week. As an ex flight - TopicsExpress

9/11 I remember the day as if it was last week. As an ex flight attendant for Pan Am, you didnt think much about terrorism, although we had been trained to deal with a situation if it happened, especially because I did mainly international routes for almost 7 years. Down in Jupiter, I had the TV on..Im standing there watching the first plane, and I knew right then and there, it was terrorism, although the news reports were assuming other reasons. I had watched similar mocked up videos on just what you were watching on TV that day years before 9/11. I started to bawl, because I knew no one would survive and I knew this day was going to come. The powers to be, knew this day would come or else a mocked video would not have been made. The irony of my story, is how real these videos were back in the day, using the same location as a mock up. I think about that often. I think about how this changed hundreds and hundreds of lives in a brief moment of impact. And I still get very emotional on this day. I had a connection to those flight attendants, pilots and passengers. I understood what was going on more than most people, because of my extensive training. In my heart, I know every single trained employees on those flights did everything they could in their power to stop them. Knowing the end, you FIGHT hard. God Bless all their families, friends or those they touched in their lives. This day is a very sad day for millions of Americans. It changed our lives forever. But, lessons have been taught and learned. May these people never die in vain for their bravery and service. You will always, always be honored and remembered!!!
