The workers will be paid $9 an hour and will assist consumers with answering questions and explaining the differences between the insurance policies offered. Job applications will be collected online and anyone hired will get three days of training. Enrollment will begin October 1st. Each in-person counselor must complete state and federal training and a fingerprint-based background check. 44 community organizations across the state have been granted funds to hire individuals for the In-Person Counselor positions.
